it is your position the call is for everyone, but God only gives the ability to receive to the chosen?

It is the Bible's position that there is a general calling to all to be saved, but only an effectual saving call to the elect.

Utterly false, the bogus invention of men.

Utterly false, the bogus deflection of personal incredulity.

@Van either answer the following simple question or just leave it alone.

    1. Chosen for salvation.
    2. Chosen to be saved.

How are these different in meaning?

effectual ? it is not a different call to all.

The ability to accept the call is different look at the soils differences

I believe the "natural" man from scripture is not spiritual lost but a nonspiritual human who cannot be saved.

In effect there are many non spiritual humans and the fewer lost and saved humans who can accept spiritual things

We were chosen through faith in the truth. This is the linkage that 2 Thessalonians 2:13 provides and the linkage those who hold to unconditional election oppose.

One of the bogus efforts to break the linkage is to change a noun (salvation) into a verb (saved) to then falsely link through faith in the truth to their altered text verb.

The effort is as bogus as a three dollar bill. Either acknowledge this answers your repeated and repeated question, or just leave it alone. :)

Both either as a noun or verb is not linked to the faith in the way you try to claim. Basic grammar.

Just the opposite is true, basic grammar, links through...faith in the truth to verb chosen, and not the noun salvation. It describes the basis of the choice.

Please, what translation would you like to use so we can break this down using the same text?

As David just accumulated four warning points, he's on vacation until June 2019. So, this thread is closed.
