For once I find it hard to disagree with the Crab. And I wonder how many Christians-- or at least those who thought they were-- have committed the sin that cannot forgiven in this world or in the next by this. Protestants v. Catholics... Anglicans v. Puritans v. Quakers... mainline v. evangelical... charismatic v. noncharismatic.... I have seen or read charges in all of these that the opposing side is worshipping the devil. And probably the most evil manifestation of trumping up the devil's power was in the European witch hunts of roughly 200-500 years ago. Sometimes we surely can be held in fear of the old devil so much that we commit his acts of inhuman evil to put someone down at best, to be incredibly cruel toward them at worst. If defeating the devil is/was the work of the Son of God, why do we want to render Him so incapable of it and intervene with our own weaknesses, incapacities, and animal instincts?

That has nothing to do with "hav[ing] false devils". If you intent is to say that Christians shouldn't bear false witness against others, then say it. Your little play on words stinks.

But, for example, pointing out that a person's view of inspiration is weak and, in reality, leads to grievous errors, is not demonizing that person. It is merely pointing out that person's error.

No one is saying that the person may not be a nice person or a good neighbor. It is merely saying that the person who believes, say, that Paul and Jesus were at odds, for example, concerning those who would not work, shouldn't be fed, is wrong and their error ought to be pointed out.

No demonizing, just honesty.

I do not believe there are contradictions between Christ and Paul. I do believe that there are interpretations of Paul's writings that are at odds with what Christ taught. All interpretations of Paul's writings must be in agreement with the teachings of Christ.
