Galatians 1.1-24

In these verses Paul reassuring Galatians that the Gospel he preaches to them is not from himself or from "the agency of man" (1), not designed and compiled by human beings, but is given from GOD directly, just like the Law of Moses, and whatever comes from GOD should have no doubt about its authenticity.

The reason for such statement can be found in verses 6-7 in which Paul "amazed" how quickly Galatians "deserting" GOD "for a different gospel." And even more, Paul also found out that some people "disturbing" the church "and want to DISTORT the Gospel of Christ."

By mentioned this, Paul opened "a huge can of worms" figuratively speaking, because this was a serious problem from the day one when Gospel of Christ start reaching humanity, and a serious problem up to this day, and certainly will be problem in the future.

Gospel of Christ not only misinterpreted but also mistranslated in some cases due to denominational differences of the split church that translated some words and even passages of the Gospel leaning in a way to their own doctrine, to match their own policy, principal, set of guidelines, or personal agenda. Having several different Bibles of different denominations, I can confirm and prove that they are not all translated in the same manner and have some small and large differences. In general, Bibles have more than 90% accuracy of translation and preserved the original essence and the meaning of the context very well even with some differences in words and in combination of a verse.

Listen to "convincing" stories of fairy-tails, myths, and legends is a one thing that can be easily dismiss but listen to distorted Gospel is much more serious thing (7) which turns many weak Christians in faith to the wrong path. Such problem and happened in Galatian's church and they "quickly deserting" (6) GOD for some other teaching that is not from Christ.

In verses 8-9 Paul cursed all those who teach and preach false gospel or purposely misinterpreted it, misrepresented it, and distort it. In verse 15 Paul even goes as far as to declare that from his mother's womb the Lord GOD called him and set him apart to reveal His Son in him, to preach the Gospel of GOD'S Son to Gentiles. (Jeremiah 1.5) (Acts 9.15-16) (Romans 1.1) (Galatians 1.15-16) (Ephesians 3.8).

By this statement (15-16) Paul let Galatians know that he has a full authority and it unchallenged because it is given to him from GOD Himself, and so, the Gospel he preaches is a true, genuine, and authentic Gospel that came directly from GOD.

At the end of this chapter (23-24) Paul proudly announced that those who had heard of his conversion to Christ glorifying GOD because of his conversion to the Lord, and Paul took it as a credit for himself, which is he fully deserved. By this Paul also reminded Galatians about the limitless power of GOD.

As Jesus once said, "For mortals it is impossible, but for GOD all things are possible." Matthew 19.26.

I take Paul's words of "another Gospel" as directly affecting salvation, leading one away from the required way God demands to be saved.

He dealt with false doctrine in many ways, but became very angry with what he considered another Gospel that would bar the gate to eternal life.

For example, I disagree whole heartedly with the Calvinists, believing it teaches a false doctrine, but not a false Gospel.

I think there is a difference in that we can be wrong on doctrine, but we can't afford to be wrong on the Gospel we believe unto eternal life.

Paul said his Gospel was the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. That is where our salvation is found in that understanding of what that means through the atonement.

The Scripture says in the last days some will teach that Christ did not come in the flesh, I see this as "another Gospel" in that it would bar the door to salvation.
