I hate to see you leave too.
I can't speak for the person who hurt your feelings. I do not think he was directly calling you a liar, he was maybe not as gentle as he could have been (who is?), but he was questioning your distribution of a fiction book as nonfiction. I happen to agree that the book is fiction and poorly researched.
