Favorite Aerial Photos: Asia and Europe
Whenever we fly I always covet the window seat. I find the long-distance details of the land below to be fascinating. Over the years I have also figured out how to take better aerial photos. Here are some of what I think are my best photos of some very memorable trips.manilaaerial.jpg

As an amateur photographer I find that taking a photo through a window is problematic.

Thank you for letting me know. I think I fixed it.

Agreed about the potential problems. Many of my photos turn out badly, either because of lighting (or lack of it) or window imperfections. Post-production rescues some of the photos.

Sometimes you have no choice in the matter. I do not think that the pilot would've allowed asterisktom to step outside the plane in order to capture the photo!:Laugh Good thing is these days, there is a great abundance of software at out disposal which may be used to augment our talent or compensate for the lack thereof.;)

Gimp is pretty good for optimizing photos. I used it for most of my aerial shots. It can sometimes make hazy shots look decent, and good shots (like the one above of Manila) excellent.
