    2.Forgiven Forever
    3.Midnight Cry
    4.Look unto Jesus (Heb.12:2)

I cry every time! I am just so overwhelmed.

What a Day That Will Be
There is coming a day When no heartaches shall come-
No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye.
All is peace forevermore on that happy golden shore.
What a day, Glorius day that will be.

What a day that shall be when my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face-the One who saved me by His grace,
When He takes me by the hand and leads me through the promise land,
What a day, glorious day that will be!

Sherrie. I know that song well. Never saw it the Baptist hymnal. You aren't a closet Pentecostal, are you? ;)

(My grandparents and parents are Pentecostal.) :D

    Sherrie,
We sang that song at my assistant pastor/principal's recent funeral.. I especially enjoy the 2nd verse:

    They'll be no sorrow there,
    no more burdens to bear
    No more sickness, no pain,
    No more parting over there!
    And forever I will be
with the one who died for me
What a day glorious day that will be!!

    AMEN!!!!!!

Aaron, I grew up in a conservative Baptist Church and we sang "What a Day" all the time. Don't know if it was in the hymnal or not; we used a lot of other music.

Not Pentecostal at all, though we were a might looser than some congregations.

Ok now Aaron! I have been called a lot of things but never Closet Pentecostal! I'll have to get you back! :D

Actually it is in a hymnal. I buy up old hymnal books at sales for 25 cents or so. We sing at home. It may be in Nazerene Hymnal.

Ok, come on lets here it. :D

Also: No we can not...none of us at home....carry any kind of tune. We just drown each other out. I especially love all those Heavenly Highway Hymns. Now those are Baptist...right Aaron? [IMG]

I was just ribbing you. :D (I know you understood that, Sherrie. I'm just expressing it for the benefit of those who jumped to your defense.)

What a Day that Will Be is one of my personal favorites as well. When I am among the Baptists, I am accused of being Pentecostal, and when I am among the Pentecostals, I am accused of being a Baptist. Am I a Pente-Baptist or a Bapticostal?

I love the words of the gospel song "Just as I am".
These words remind of those wonderful gospel services which I attended as a boy and of the time when I came as a lost sinner to Christ.

    Praise his name
    Robert

    Warm Christian greetings!

For sheer Gospel content, and perhaps for nothing else it has to be:

    "The Old Rugged Cross"

    Kind regards
