FEAR, WISDOM OF GOD, AND OUR GLORY
1Corinthians 2.6-8
Subject of wisdom is very popular in the Bible and often found almost in every Book of the Holy Scripture. Under word "wisdom" most of the time means the Wisdom of GOD which is reveal itself in everything what GOD has created, and also in His Laws, Commandments, Statutes, Principals and Ideals.
GOD shares His Wisdom with entire world, but the world has its own wisdom and majority of the people follow it. Paul wrote that the Wisdom of GOD is foolishness for the world, and this is not surprised, because the world does not know GOD and reject Him.
As it written in verse 8, if the authorities of the world understood the Wisdom of GOD, they would not crucify the Christ, which is make perfect sense. The world wants to be independent from GOD and His Wisdom, to do things what desirable for men and not for GOD. This is why the world in such disarray and always have been this way, because there is no GOD there is no happiness, prosperity, joy, and longitude of life, but death and destruction always follow humankind in their madness in pursuit of their own wisdom, the wisdom of power and the wisdom of wealth.
Ecclesiastes 1.18
18. In much wisdom (human wisdom) is much vexation, and those who increase knowledge, increase sorrow.
Psalm 90.12
12. So, teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart.
Can a human have glory? Yes, because verse 7 said so, "the hidden wisdom which GOD predestined before the ages to our glory," (KSB).
This means that those who obtained the predestined "before the ages" to us the Wisdom of GOD, such people are glorified by the Wisdom of GOD. The Wisdom of GOD lies in His Statutes and Commandments, in His Gospel, and in everything He has created.
So, how our wisdom can start to glorify us, it starts from the Fear of GOD.
