#trudeaueulogies is hot on Twitter right now. A sampling:

The serpent provided food and education for the poor in Eden.

Frankenstein embodied the American national motto -- E. Pluribus Unum.

Though an authoritarian, Darth Vader was a doting father and he brought balance to the Force.

We mourn the loss of Vlad Dracula who pioneered a novel method of blood donation.

Read what Gloria Estefan had to say:

"Although the death of a human being is rarely cause for celebration, it is the symbolic death of the destructive ideologies that he espoused that, I believe, is filling the Cuban exile community with renewed hope and a relief that has been long in coming. And although the grip of Castro's regime will not loosen overnight, the demise of a leader that oversaw the annihilation of those with an opposing view, the indiscriminate jailing of innocents, the separation of families, the censure of his people's freedom to speak, state sanctioned terrorism and the economic destruction of a once thriving & successful country, can only lead to positive change for the Cuban people and our world. May freedom continue to ring in the United States, my beautiful adopted country, and may the hope for freedom be inspired and renewed in the heart of every Cuban in my homeland and throughout the world. "

Doubtful, since no government policies will likely change. Is it proper to celebrate someone's death?

Rev. 19:1 ¶ And after these things I heard a great voice of a multitude of people in Heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power, unto the Lord our God,
2 for true and righteous are His judgments: He hath judged the great whore who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of His servants at her hand."
3 And again they said, "Alleluia!" And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four living beings fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, "Amen! Alleluia!"
5 ¶ And a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him, both small and great."

Respect for the dead can only go so far.
In the case pf one who was reportedly and historically a mass murderer then silence I suppose is in order with sympathy for the departed's family.
There is such a thing as death bed repentance.
Eternity will reveal if this was the case for Fidel Castro.

I think she is spot on. I do not think that most who are celebrating his death know him personally. They are celebrating the death of a tyrant, a murderer....what that man stood for....not merely the passing of the man.

Very fitting that Colin Kaepernick lost to the Miami Dolphins yesterday. He was booed every time he stepped on the field. And the Dolphin with the most tackles, an interception and a game saving tackle -- a Cuban American.

Very interesting article on Huffington Post. Please take the time to read the entire article.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry...febe4b0a79f7433b6b1?ncid=engmodushpmg00000003.

Here is a short excerpt.

Son, I am very sad that so many of us died before we got to see this day. I remember when government officials came into our home and declared that everything we worked so hard to obtain was now owned by the government. I remember the humiliation of being a man that could not provide for his family because I opposed the regime and lost my job. I remember being sent to a labor camp for four years because we applied for an exit visa. I remember visiting my battered and beaten teenaged brother who was imprisoned because he wanted to be free. I remember the pain in my parents eyes when they visited their son in prison. I remember boarding the plane in Cuba knowing that I would never see my homeland again. But most of all I remember why I love America so much. You see, those of us that left Cuba were called worms by Fidel Castro. But it was America that opened its doors and took us in. It was America that gave us a home and a chance to build a life that was better than the one we left behind. It was in America that I purchased our first home - where you and your brother thrived beyond all imagination. If there is one thing that I thank Fidel Castro for it is for giving me the opportunity to experience freedom. So when you ask me what I am thinking about I can simply utter the words that have become our rallying cry for so many years, God Bless America and Viva Cuba Libre.

Reading the many press releases of political leaders and I was pleasantly surprised by Nancy Pelosi's.

Most Democrats and foreign leaders are heaping praise on Castro.

Except for this lie:

“Still, we meet this day with clear eyes. Generations of Cuban political prisoners, democracy activists and families suffered under Fidel Castro’s rule. In their name, we will continue to press the Cuban regime to embrace the political, social, and economic dreams of the Cuban people.”
