I also believe 90% of those who hate him never served.

Neither did Rush when he had the opportunity to put his rear where his mouth is.

Mr. KINGSTON submitted the following resolution

I would be all for this resolution if the references to Limbaugh are removed. Such a man does not deserve recognition by either house of the U.S. Congress.

So the free speech stuff you were whining about last week, is that out the window now that a "neocon" is in the crosshairs ?

What do you mean by this. Rush was medically disqualified from serving, thats good enough for me. Rush has supported our troops for his entire broadcast career and has been to Afganistan to see our troops there face to face. As far as I can see he has put his rear where his mouth is.

If you missed his show today, you missed Rush at his absolute best, and his fans at theirs. And he numbers a lot of service families as his friends.

Ken,

Do you think all Presidents should be required to have served in the military before they can be elected to the office of Commander-In-Chief?

Reid Vs. Limbaugh would make a great pay per view event. All without the aid of the mute button or a guarantee of having the last word. How would Rush do on a level playing field.
Curious thought about Rush, since his father was a big influence on his life, I wonder if he like his father disavows the existence of hell or that the Book of Revelations is the true inspired word of God.

He said the media would rather listen to phony soldiers than the ones who actually went to Iraq.

So a soldier like one of my grandnephews(the other one has) who has not gone to Iraq is a phony soldier according to Rush Limbaugh? Is that what he said? All the more reason for me to have disdain for the man who has been nothing more than a shill for the Bush administration and the warhawks.

There is no elected office of "commander-in-chief". We elect a president who is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces in the service of these United States.

And, no, I don't think that a person has to have served in the military in order to be a candidate for the presidency of these United States.

Not at all. As far as I care Limbaugh is free to run off at the mouth to the point where Kaopectate won't slow him down.

If you want to remain ignorant, go right ahead. I'm not going to debate media matters talking points. Your above rant has nothing to do with this discussion, and you probably know it.

I hate no man. My Lord does not teach me to do such a thing.

The Lord has also told you not to bear false witness against people, but here you are, doing just that.

Please point out where I have borne false witness about Limbaugh.

Also, if Limbaugh simply meant to refer to Jesse MacBeth why did he use the plural "soldiers" instead of "soldier"? As Limbaugh was fond of saying when I used to listen to him a whole lot - words mean things.

Cultist? There is no religious test for public office, so no issue there.

I believe if Congress censured MoveOn.org for the Betray Us ad, they need to also censure Limbaugh for his comments calling soldiers who speak out against the war as "phony soldiers". This from someone who never wore the uniform of his nation, denigrating brave American warriors. Shameful.

Actually, that isn't what he said. He was speaking about one guy who spent a grand total of 44 days in the miliatry, before he washed out, who was making claims as though he had served in Iraq.

Reid didn't bother to get his facts straight and, as usual, it's the liberals who come out looking like idiots.

Frankly, I thought Reid's reference to Limbaugh's past drug problems showed precisely the lack of class we're dealing when it comes to the loony left.

Depends. Did you nephew wash out of basic and go on to claim that he went to Iraq?

Is that what he said? All the more reason for me to have disdain for the man who has been nothing more than a shill for the Bush administration and the warhawks.

Actually, on this morning's show, Glenn Beck, who's a pretty big thorn in the Bush admin's side, not only defended Limbaugh, but agreed with him.

ABC's 20/20 and the New York Times, neither of which can be called conservative by any stretch of the imagination, have both done stories on this very subject, and the "Stolen Valor" project has even earned Congressional support.
