I have to take a moment to praise GOD for saving my son from a fire that demolished the home he was living in last night. Thankfully only the pets were killed in the fire...not him & not the other two people. Now he is homeless & he will be sleeping on my couch till we work something out.

Praise God for your son and the others getting out safely.

AMEN!

Counting our blessing everyday, means counting all the little ones, and the BIG ones that come along from time to time. You, your son and the others were truly blessed last night. :saint:

Praise God...

EWF...praise God for His hand of protection. God is good all the time. I pray your son and his friends can grow in grace through this time of trouble.

Glad to hear it! Thanks be to God!

Thank you all for the kind thoughts ....been a trying day actually. We feel very blessed that our son is safe (and now sleeping on a air mattress in the basement).....could have been worse. And if there is a flood, he is prepared. Thank you Jesus!:love2:

EWF,
I am so glad your son is ok. I hate that the pets were killed, as we have a dog, cat and birds in our house. Praise God your son is safe.

We lost our home and possessions to fire on August 1, 2010. I remember praising God for protecting us even though we were trapped in a third floor bedroom. I remember thinking that what we lost was only stuff. I remember the sick feeling in my gut when we pawed through the stuff looking for things to salvage. We still work with the fire department when they do community events. The highlight of our story is first our rescue and second that every single Bible in the house (a bunch) was untouched by smoke or fire.

EWF, go give that boy a hug for me would you. :godisgood:
