First Lady Credits School Cafeteria Programs for Bolstering National Security

So feeding children healthy food so they grow up to be healthy soldiers has nothing to do with security. Would you rather have unhealthy young people. If nutrition is no factor in security why not feed soldiers cheap, unhealthy food?

Two things sell relatively well in Washington: children and national security! That's how so much garbage gets funded under these banners. The federal government doesn't need to be involved in feeding children in our public schools and feeding children doesn't have anything to do with national security. Someone just wants to expand the definition so as to extend the reach of the budget hammer to justify more social programs.

Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
Not gonna call any names, but this proverb fits one poster like ugly on Pelosi!:tongue3:

Same poster keeps proving himself a living illustration daily!!

It's a lost cause trying to have any meaningful dialogue with him.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (Mar. 2, 2010)– President Barack Obama traveled to the Deep South Tuesday to highlight a new energy initiative. . .

. . .For lunch, the president stopped by Mrs. Wilkes’ Dining Room, a small downtown restaurant, for some old-fashioned Southern cooking that’s probably not what his doctor would have ordered.

Greeting patrons as he went, Obama, whose recent physical showed an increased cholesterol level, took a seat at a table loaded with plates of fried chicken, pulled pork and corn bread and bowls of baked beans, sweet potatoes, creamed corn and collard greens.

Good point Crabby. Next on her list should be promoting marksmanship in school, so they can grow up to be good shots and good soldiers. For security purposes.
