My conception of a flat tax is an income tax only.

Hey don’t we get any credit for inspiration and motivation? When is the last time your accountant or lawyer did that for you?StefanM said:Be careful, now. I'm sure ministers don't make a great economic contribution either!

Didn’t some Russian leader a while back say something along the lines of “We love Christians in Russia, they are the only ones still showing up to work sober.” I may be remembering that wrong but don’t preachers get some credit for the Christian “Work Ethic?”

I'm not saying that we don't do anything, simply that we most likely do not help the GDP all that much.
hillclimber1 said:We have plenty effect on the GDP, and it will be felt immediately after the rapture. Just in outstanding loans alone, untold billions of dollars, no longer available for mortgages, and car loans.

KenH said:How can that be? When the "rapture" occurs this present earth and heavens will cease to exist.
<continuation of hijack>KenH said:Yep. It hard for me to just totally let premillennialists have the run of the place.

And there's no way to avoid giving the tax man the use of our money all year, some of which to be given back in credits or whatever. This would apply to any new tax scheme.
