Can you say "gold digger?" That's why we need a loser pays system. But, the trial lawyers would never go for that as most (not all) of the trial lawyers are "gold diggers" too.

As Richard Petty used to say on his BC Headache Powder ad -

Be nice to see this all settled so she can put this behind her.

Seems like Victoria Osteen was a bad girl and doesn't want to take responsibility for her acts against another person, who really did nothing.
On the other hand 10% of her worth is ridiculous.

Yes...but her exegesis regarding "turn the other cheek" is faulty.

I fear that she will be the butt of a lot of jokes.

It is time for her to forget those things which are behind and get on with her life.

If Victoria Osteen really did what is claimed, and there were injuries, I don't blame the flight attendant for suing.

The Osteens teach that God gives favor on Christians and if we just expect it and speak it, everything will go smoothly for us. People will open doors for us, serve us, give us money, etc. It's not the gospel that he teaches. I am not saying that this is why V. should be sued, but undoubtedly she was upset when something was not cleaned up right away. Where was the "favor" that they are always teaching about? That was just not how it's supposed to be according to them, so she probably got upset over this.

They did make the Osteens leave the plane, so something happened.

On top of this, they are treated like special people - look at how his books have sold and the fact that he has the largest attendance on Sunday morning of any church (at least these were the stats a couple of years ago). They are probably used to celebrity treatment. Other celebs have also got upset.

Not to mention she was fined by the FAA... if something didn't happen, they wouldn't have fined her...

Rational points and probably true. My point is simply that neither party is acting responsibly in a dignified, quiet way, out of the public eye. When it comes right down to it, the attendant is doing as much grandstanding as the person she claims has done serious emotional and physical harm to her. Like 2 kids in the sandbox. Probably arguing over who gets the Preparation-H!!
