Does he still believe that?

Hockey is a marginal sport. The best Stanley Cup finals game had 3-5 million viewers in the U.S. The Super Bowl has 115 million or so; the college championship game had 26 million viewers. Football is played throughout the country; hockey is a regional sport.
Yes I like football and it is a violent sport and the one most enjoyed by Americans so basically it is an American sport... But the sport most played by the whole world is Futbol... And I feel that parents seeing and understanding how violent Football is and the damage over the span of time it causes will have their children in the future if the sport doesn't make a dramatic change play the other Futbol (Soccer) this sport is becoming the alternative here... Have you ever seen any Golden Gloves events?I don't know if he's been smacked down by the owner, but I am edging toward that same conclusion, as much as I like football. I'm not sure that rule changes and protective gear and injury protocols will be enough to make football "safe." Boxing used to be a huge sport, but it's in decline, possibly partly due to the example of the late Muhammad Ali. More and more parents are judging that the risks far outweigh the benefits.
Where is here?
Saying football is a violent sport is like saying cigarettes are dangerous. Who in the world does not know these things?
And then to sue over physical damage cause by playing football is absurd? Its like sticking your hand in the meat grinder and then suing because the blades were sharper than you thought they would be. Good grief.
In the USA... I did a google search and its in your neck of the woods too... Brother Glen
