For McCain Voters: Do you have a problem with voting for a woman VP?

No problem at all. I love women, I married a women. Of course so did Bill Clinton.

Seriously, I know we don't know everything about her yet but what I have read looks great. A little inexperienced (compared to Biden perhaps, Palin still has more experience than Obama). She has a great variety of experience in her life.

I agree, but I don't hold inexperience against her. Many of great people have done really great things with no previous experience. Abraham Lincoln who I consider of our our greatest presidents served two terms in the state senate and was in his first term in the US senate when he became president. Very few of our founding fathers had any experience in any of what they accomplished but I say with certainty they were the right folks fr the job.

If God be our guide, experience only gets in the way of His Will...

Ah, you know there are quite a few young, single and even married men folk who really don’t follow politics who will look at Palin and vote for McCain. She is quite easy on the eyes.

For me, this is one election that I’m fairly disgusted with the choices I have. I’m leaning more towards Bob Barr at the moment.

Not really, but at least when the big US Government slowly starts to take our individual States rights away…I can complain about it. Plus, I have to live with my own decision.

I hope anyway, that this election will show that more and more Americans are looking for real change in showing their support for an Independent in the polls this November. It’s all about educating and breaking the cycle that we perceive to be normal and how it has always been.

She would be if something were to happen to John McCain and his age has caused some pause and concern. But now, this nomination can allay those fears some people have.

If McCain wins, she very may well be the next president in 4 years. I don't see McCain as a two term president if voted into office.

Since I won't be voting for McCain, I did not vote in the poll. If I were to vote, I would say that I have no problem at all that a woman could become president.

I think this was a shrewd move by McCain. He is betting that by securing the religious right-wing vote, it will be enough to offset Obama's popularity. This move could work and propel him into the White House.

On the other hand, I think this will further polarize the electorate. Mrs. Palin would be such an outspoken pro-life candidate who is very close to becoming president. Knowing the types of Supreme Court Justices she would appoint will probably cause the pro-choice vote to work extremely hard to elect Obama. It could work against McCain with much of the women's vote.

I think it was a good choice for McCain and it will be an interesting time between now and November.

I would have no problem whatsoever. I have seen two 'voting' polls this morning and (at least on the BB) McCain is running well ahead in both of them.:godisgood:
