Twilight (morning evening) mark the end of the day and the night. In the creation account, evening is mentioned first because it marks the end of the day. Morning is mention second because it marks the end of the night. Day (ended by evening) and night (ended by morning).

Note also, the evening twilight begins at sundown (which is when the light begins to give way). The morning twilight, on the other hand, begins about 40 minutes before sunrise when the dark begins to give way.

But 3 days and nights would make that Sunday evening....

Indeed. The only timeline that works with an actual 3 days and 3 nights is a count starting Thursday evening with Christ being taken into custody by sinful men (in Jewish thought, this is the start of Friday). That is when the heart of the earth experience begins. He is then crucified in the morning (still Friday) and buried before day's end. He remains under the judgment of men (in the heart of the earth) until exactly 3 day snd 3 nights later, when he is resurrection on Sunday morning at twilight.

This gives us both a Friday crucifixion, and a literal 3 days and 3 nights, not just in the grave, but under the judgment of men. Nothing else works. Even a Thursday day crucifixion, gives us too many days.

What do you think? It was the time that Jesus was put in the tomb three days earlier, . Also the time the women set off to the tomb, "towards the end of the Sabbath.
