Okay, gotcha. The problem is that the source of the report is Wade Burleson, who has credibility with a lot of folks. And the man who disputes the Burleson story also has come credibility, as well.

Dr. Burleson now maintains that his exposing the story forced SWBTS to call off the "purge."

Depends on whom you believe, I guess.

It doesn't matter who has credibility it is gossip. Having been forced to resign as a trustee for gossip his credibility is little to none.

We would be amazed at what garbage men knew before there were shredders. Workers often know things that are not publicized.

Don't you think that a lot of the news made public in religious organizations which are fighting is gossip when one looks at what scripture defines as gossip?

I'm not particularly interested in debating whether the report is gossip or not. The question before the house is, is it true. I frankly don't know.
