Former aide: Obama played cards during bin Laden raid

Despite the picture the White House released showing President Obama intently watching the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, his former “body man” says the president spent most of the raid playing a card game.

“Most people were like down in the Situation Room and [the president] was like, ‘I’m not going to be down there, I can’t watch this entire thing.’ So he, myself, Pete Souza, the White House photographer, Marvin [Nicholson], we must have played 15 games of spades,” former Obama aide Reggie Love said at an event in Los Angeles sponsored by The Artists & Athletes Alliance in July.

So he sent our troops to put their life on the line and he went and played cards. Not that he was the only one. What callousness.

It was poker and he was betting Americans would never figure out Bin Laden died from kidney failure ten years before the infamous (phoney) raid.

Obama took out bin Laden and many high level al Quaeda leaders. Bush talked a lot but really did nothing.

He played about 15 hands of spades

Who cares? He was there and ready to do what was needed if anything else was needed. What should he had done, sat staring at the telephone?

Lincoln often went to the telegraph office and while waiting for news told stories. Should he had not told stories and just sat there staring at the telegraph key?

Obama "allegedly" took out OBL. All we have as proof is the word of people who have openly lied to congress and the American people and continue to cover up their criminality.

So excuse me if I question the validity of the "Bin Laden" raid. The whole thing was a crude electioneering pr campaign. Who would question it?

Me. Accepting the word of a proven liar as the only evidence on any subject much less one that politically benefits him directly doesn't come easy for me.

Bush did his part. The neocons feared up the population and passed laws to undermine the constitution and insulate the elite from prosecution of war crimes. If it weren't for the heroic efforts of Bush and the neocons Obama wouldn't be able to imprison and or execute American citizens without due process or intimidate the press and blackmail political opponents with information gained through the unconstitutional NSA spying grid. Obama owes Bush his whole dictatorial style of governing. Without Bush and the neocons insulating the elite from the law he might actually have had to follow the law and be held accountable when he broke it.

Authoritarians in the Obama regime should give Bush more credit for laying the foundation of Obama's out of control war mongering spying and lying corporatist big government they are so proud to be part of.

We got our revenge against bin Laden. If Obama won the credit-grabbing rights in a card game...big deal.

Yeah it feels good to be avenged even if it is all based on the word of people who have proven repeatedly they'll lie and intimidate others to silence to stay in power.

Do you realize just how predictable it is that you doubt this?

Sure do Rev. I'd say it's almost as predictable as the govt resorting to lying and fabricating terrorist threats and other diversions to distract us and justify it's many and varied criminal acts against the constitution, the American people and the rule of law.

Do you realize just how predictable it is that you would believe this?

Even with the complete lack of hard evidence and the knowledge that the people creating this narrative habitually lie to congress and the people.

The thing I can't figure out is why you'd believe it.
