If you cannot read what I wrote truthfully, why would, should, I believe what you wrote?

But, Mag - I do believe you. Not because you have written a lot of truth, but because I am a trusting individual. I really do find it difficult to believe that people would lie - especially for filthy lucre.

PS - isn't a family heritage something to build upon?

One flaw in your last post is this...the media have no power, therefore they are exempt from checks and balances. You have not made your case that they are a "fourth branch" of government. The constitution certainly conveys no special powers upon them. They can have influence, but as has been pointed out, the free market of ideas is the check and balance on this. The cure to faulty or misleading information is MORE information, not less.
Edited to add: I don't have any way to check your claim that you are related to the founding fathers, but assuming it to be true (you could be lying to us! raying: ), it doesn't make your arguments (or lack thereof) any more credible. I am a direct descendant of Dr. Benjamin Rush, signer of the Declaration of Independence. Does that make my arguments or opinions more valid than anyone else's? No! It is the logic and factual presentation that give my opinions weight.

I think my repeated asking and his repeated antics has resolved the argument as far as I am concerned.

I am curious as to what a lout is, but given the fact that OPster allows redefining of other's words I am going to define it as such:

lout: a handsome, witty, good-humored, wise man with impecible hygene and a knack for great leadership.

And in that regard, I am deeply, deeply humbled and honored that I have been called a lout. :thumbs:
