Christ was tempted in Matt 4. "It was real".

But your question is again - failure to appreciate God. (the basis for all of Calvinism - so no big surprise).

The basis for temptation is twofold, ignorance and a motive to go against the character and nature of God as defined in HIS Law.

To say that God CAN not be tempted is in fact to tsay that God IS not ignorant and IS not contradicting Himself.


Only a Calvinist would twist that around to "Failure to have free will".

Temptations are born from the inclinations of the heart. If ALL that CAN BE inclined from the heart of Christ is the glorification of God, He is NEVER tempted per se the "thought of carrying through" the propositions of Satan would NEVER even be thought of by Christ... Satan "tested" Christ but Jesus was never "tempted" to sin at all.

This is a perfect opposite analogy of man... He (in His nature) can't by HIS own will choose to Glorify God. He Has to have His nature changed to do that....
