Gas was $2.48 a gallon yesterday, it was $2.58 a gallon this morning when my wife filled up, and it was $2.98 a gallon this evening when I came home from work. This was at the same gas station down the road from my house.

I was talking to someone my brother who's friend drives a tanker for Chevron, he said to expect the prices to be pushing $3.50 per gallon by Labor Day.

What are the gas prices in your area?

As of about 4 this afternoon, $2.89 a gallon.

My family in Little Rock, AR, reported $2.99 a gallon.

I think they are around 2.75 however that is a small sacrifice compared to those people in New Orleans. I can't complain.

I read on another board gas stations are out of gas and rationing gas for truck drivers. Anybody out there having this problem.

We have a few gas stations that are out, I talked to my parents in North Carolina, they said that all of the stations in Greensboro, NC are out. I heard on the news that Atlanta only has a 10 day supply left.

Like Martain said, paying too much for gas is better than loosing everything you have and seeing your whole city under water.

We, as a nation, had a party during the 1990s with cheap gas and buying gas guzzlers without building any new refineries now for 30 years due to environmental regulations and a NIMBY attitude. The chickens have come home to roost.

In Butler County Ohio I filled up for 2.56 a gallon. As I was pumping the gas the attendent came out to change the price on the sign to 3.08! Driving north up the state highway every station had changed their price and were charging over 3.00 a gallon. Still, there are those on this board who believe there are no anti trust violations or collusion amoung the oil companies. Amazing.

By noon today, several metro Atlanta gas stations had posted prices above $3.15 per gallon. Some metro area stations were charging as much as $4.75 a gallon, according to a Web site that keeps track of such things, www.atlantagasprices.com.

Prices were rising so fast in some areas that signs at gas stations no longer matched what was being charged at the pumps.

Yesterday morning, $2.44
Last night $2.94
Noon today $3.19
Tonight $3.29

25% increase in 36 hours.

I believe there are anti-trust violations, with the colusion of the current administration. For what it is worth, can't prove it, but I do believe it.

$4.55 per gallon here in Ontario..I already converted from metric.

I would get the horse out, but hay jumped to $30.00 a bale.

Cheers,

Jim

Declaring that there's "credible evidence" of price-gouging at the gas pumps, Gov. Sonny Perdue late Wednesday signed an executive order threatening to impose heavy fines on gasoline retailers who overcharge Georgia drivers.

Governor Manchin of WV did the same. I don't know about Gov. Perdue, but Gov. Manchin will DEFINITELY enforce his order.

Gov. Manchin said stations must show proof that their wholesale price had increased, and he would fine any station who jacked up their prices while still selling gas for which they'd paid a lower price.

Gas here in Orlando was about $2.75 around 6:00 am this morning. However, my husband had to go to two different places to get it. Gov. Bush is urging Floridians to not panic. He claims that Florida does not have a sever shortage of gasoline, and that those stations running out will receive new shipments sometime early next week. At least that is what Central Florida News 13 is reporting.

Is it true that the Gov. of NC has placed a ban on non-essential driving? I thought I heard that this morning, but have not had a chance to verify.
