There ya go! :thumbsup:Genesis 5:4 (NIV)

Genesis 5:4 (NIV)

It appears to me that the text is ambiguous as to the timing of the "other sons and daughters." The wording in the Hebrew does not refer to a specific time frame, but can be understood as encompassing their entire lives.Deacon & thisnumber—I could be wrong—but I think the question was—did they have any children before Seth (besides Cain & Able)—not if they simply had other children—if so the affirmative answer could impact the interpretation of other difficult texts
Off the top of my head—I know a common answer to who it was that Cain feared when he killed Able was the wrath of his siblings (implying they had other kids before Seth)
Gen 4-13 Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me." 15 Then the LORD said to him, "Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And the LORDput a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him.
Of course this has to be speculation b/c the text is not clear (& has led to a wide range of theories)—further some believe it refers to the future offspring of Adam & Eve & not those present at the time Cain makes the statement--but if you look into this you might find an answer to your question

Studying the lineage and genealogy of the Savior is fascinating. For example, look at this four women.
Rahab, a prostitute, Tamar who pretended to be a prostitute to shame her father-in-law, Ruth from a tribe with whom Hebrews were prohibited from associating, Bathsheba, an adulteress.
And despite all this, He was born impeccable and without sin.
