I watched 5 minutes of the Last Word on MSNBC tonight, that is all it takes usually to gather enough crazy material for a good post.
George Takei (Mr. Sulu) was on the show and was pontificating about same sex marriage. He said it was wrong that laws didn't recognize same sex partners when it comes to who receives an estate after the death of a partner. He used an actual stroy of two partners that lived together 10 years, one died and the entire estate went to the dead partners brother instead of the other partner. They went on how sad this was that the law is whacked so we need to recognize marriage between gays to remedy this.
My question to George would be why didn't the couple draw up a will designating who gets the estate? Isn't that simple? These liberals try to use sad stories to gain public support without thinking it through. I don't care if a gay man leaves his whole estate to his gay partner.
The left always seems to use sad stories or a crisis to pull the heart strings of weak minded Americans, just as in gun control agendas.
Am I wrong here?
