Giuliani: ‘Truth isn’t truth’

“President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani on Sunday claimed "truth isn't truth" when trying to explain why the president should not testify for special counsel Robert Mueller for fear of being trapped into a lie that could lead to a perjury charge.”

Giuliani: ‘Truth isn’t truth’

Rudy Giuliani: “Truth isn’t truth.”

Pontius Pilate: “What is truth?”

The special counsel is operating illegally. That's good enough reason to refuse to step into a perjury trap.

If you talk to the FBI or special counsel and give a story, then later give the same story with a smidgen of change to it significant or otherwise you can be accused and found guilty of lying. That is what Guiliani is talking about.

Simple way to avoid perjury. Tell the truth. That Trump and Giuliani apparently don’t know what truth is does not speak well of them.

That is not what was said. If you talk to the FBI or special counsel and give a story, then later give the same story with a smidgen of change to it significant or otherwise you can be accused and found guilty of lying. That is what Guiliani is talking about. Not sure why that needs explaining.

Again. It’s simple. Tell the truth. It is one of the basics of the Christian’s walk.

Once again. That's a simplistic and ignorant view of how a skilled prosecutor sets a perjury trap.

The pity is that you're too far gone with TDS to even attempt to explain it to you. It's a waste of time. TDS makes one glory in their ignorance.

Just trying to follow Christ’s example. A Christian should have no fear of facing a prosecutor, just as our Lord had no fear of Pilate.

Dumb, dumb, dumb. Everything has a legal definition. Giuliani is right. Legal truth is not the same as moral truth.

Truth is truth. That some people who are Christians are willing to throw basic Christian teachings overboard to support Trump flabbergasts and greatly saddens me. No wonder the public perception of evangelicals is in tatters, as well as the Catholic Church after last week’s revelations.

So are you saying you don’t believe in imitating Christ? :(

Not sure how you reached that conclusion. I am saying that not everything Christ did is open for imitating. Christ has did fear facing Pilate. He sweat drops of blood because of what He knew He was about to go threw. He was headed to the cross. Neither you nor I can imitate that.

When you are questioned by an attorney at one point and then later questioned again, inevitably you will tell the same thing but some minor details may be spoken differently. This small difference can be called lying to the FBI or a special prosecutor. No one is going to get every words exactly the same every time. They can capitalize on word differences just to find one guilty. I know you want to ignore that but it is a fact all the same.

I don't believe you are actually flabbergasted, I do believe you want to portray yourself as being such because you believe it advances your cause.

If that was the case, then everyone a prosecutor interviews would be charged and found guilty. The fact that is not the case disproves your premise.
