No one said objective truth doesn't exist. Those who pervert justice, e.g., Mueller et al, and those like you who support him, aren't interested in the truth. They're interested in wresting technicalities to let obvious perps off and frame those who acted in good faith.
I don't know where you got such a foolish idea. It wasn't from me.
Giuliani said it. The Trump Administration spokespeople have said similar things, using terms like "alternative facts." (A fact is something that is true.) Many Christians go right along with that.
I'm glad you are here to judge everyone's motives and set us all straight with your righteousness.

Christians are always interested in the truth. Public policy positions have nothing to do with wanting to know the truth.

Note the terms in the document: formal legal truth, substantive truth, and truth.
In the legal system, truth is not truth. Not as a layperson normally thinks about it.
And, fact is not fact, and does not need to conform to substantive truth.
1 Hans Kelsen once drew a similar distinction: “In case a fact is disputed, the judicial decision which determines that the fact has occurred . . . ‘creates’ legally the fact [formal legal truth] and consequently constitutes the applicability of the general rule of law referring to the fact. In the sphere of law the fact ‘exists’, even if in the sphere of nature the fact has not occurred [i.e. is not substantively true].” H. Kelsen, Sovereign Equality of States, 53 Yale Law Journal, 207, 218 (1994).
This process of establishing legal truth and facts can be horribly perverted when corrupt individuals are running the system. And that is what the President is facing.

Let's look at the commandment:
Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
False witness to save the life of thine innocent neighbor is not what is condemned. Now, don't, as many are wont to do, take my meaning to the extreme in thinking that God winks at falsehood and that you can willy nilly go about asserting falsehoods. Christ was never false. His speaking a word made the temple soldiers fall backward.
There is no such power in our speaking, but we must love our neighbor as ourselves, and in extreme circumstances, when God's enemies are at the helm of a government bent not on justice, but on the persecution of the innocent, it is not a lie to mislead them.
But nothing I say will prevent one with a weak conscience from betraying the innocent.

Maybe I have been in the courtroom too much. In this circuit, if your court testimony and your written or recorded statements don't line up, you will either catch a perjury, or a giving false statements under oath charge. The problem is that you have to handle your cases a certain way to be able to make the charge. Here, it is not against the law to lie to the police. It is a felony to lie to a judge. If any witness is questionable, we put them under oath in a pre warrant hearing before a magistrate. At that point, its a felony to lie.
Did the midwives, and Rahab, and Rebekah/Jacob, and others, have to lie in order for God's plan to be fulfilled? IMO, absolutely not. These episodes illustrate that a merciful God can use us despite our sinful actions, not that He needs them.
Read the context, he was stating that even if one tells the whole truth and nothing by the truth, can be prosecuted under perjury, as that is the whim of the one, in this case Mueller, in charge!
