Mueller is an agent of the deep state.
It's a real shame, too. He served honorably and well as a Marine in Vietnam.
But after so many years spent in the cesspool called DC, he has been thoroughly politicized.
He now dishonors the oath he took so many years ago as a Marine.
Giuliani said something to the effect that they would love to agree to let Trump testify as long as he can get the Hillary Clinton treatment:
1) He gets the questions in advance.
2) He’s not under oath.
3) You don’t get Q&A.
4) You just write a little report after.
5) And BTW, you write the report that he is innocent before you even question him.
You know, the way Comey did it…

As with Gideon? If he'd sent a messenger to the Midianites claiming he had 60,000 warriors, that would've been a lie. Taking actions to make the Midianites think they were outnumbered was not, IMO. (Or are you thinking of other battles? 2nd skirmish at Ai?)
