Global Warming: A Convenient Lie

Claude Allegre, a leading French scientist, who was among the first scientists to try to warn people of the dangers of global warming 20 years ago, now believes that “increasing evidence indicates that most of the warming comes of natural phenomena”. Allegre said, “There is no basis for saying, as most do, that the "science is settled." He is convinced that global warming is a natural change and sees the threat of the ‘great dangers’ that it supposedly poses as being bloated and highly exaggerated. Also recently, the President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Klaus said, when discussing the recent ruling by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), that global warming is man-made, “Global warming is a false myth and every serious person and scientist says so. It is not fair to refer to the U.N. panel. IPCC is not a scientific institution: it's a political body, a sort of non-government organization of green flavor. It's neither a forum of neutral scientists nor a balanced group of scientists. These people are politicized scientists who arrive there with a one-sided opinion and a one-sided assignment.” And if you are about to ask why no politicians here seem to be saying this, Klaus offered up an answer, “Other top-level politicians do not express their global warming doubts because a whip of political correctness strangles their voice”. Nigel Calder, the former editor of New Scientist, wrote an article in the UK Sunday Times, in which he stated, “When politicians and journalists declare that the science of global warming is settled, they show a regrettable ignorance about how science works.” He further stated that, “Twenty years ago, climate research became politicised in favour of one particular hypothesis”. And in reference to how the media is representing those who dissent from the man-made theory he stated, “they often imagine that anyone who doubts the hypothesis of man-made global warming must be in the pay of the oil companies”, which is exactly what I believed up until I did my research. He also wrote, “Enthusiasm for the global-warming scare also ensures that heatwaves make headlines, while contrary symptoms, such as this winter’s billion-dollar loss of Californian crops to unusual frost, are relegated to the business pages”.

We've been seeing more and more statements like this recently. Has anybody seen anything where Al Gore has come out and attempted to defend his position?

He cannot so he will not. He will just keep up the lies like his buddies the Clintons.

Yeah, it's all made up. CLICK HERE

Excerpt:

A vast ice shelf hanging on by a thin strip looks to be the next chunk to break off from the Antarctic Peninsula, the latest sign of global warming’s impact on Earth's southernmost continent.

Scientists are shocked by the rapid change of events.

Glaciologist Ted Scambos of the University of Colorado was monitoring satellite images of the Wilkins Ice Shelf and spotted a huge iceberg measuring 25 miles by 1.5 miles that appeared to have broken away from the shelf.

It was only a few years ago that the modern day luddites were saying, "The earth isn't warming. It is a lie."

Now they are sayhing, "Yes, it is warming, but it is caused by nature, not by man."

If it is a done deal does the cause matter? Does the solution change?
Sure it changes. If the cause is not man-made, then changing man-made things won't fix it. Global warming and its causes are far from settled. Gore has perpeptrated a fraud on simple and naive people, making millions, while living in a big mansion, driving big cars, and flying big jets, all of which are a part of the problem if you listen to him.

Global warming may be happening (or may not be), and it may be simply a part of the natural cycle of the earth. Before we sell our souls, we should find out the truth. Which means recognizing that Al Gore is a politician who makes a living lying, rather than a scientist who makes a living studying.

And it was as recently as the 1970's that the same nitwits who are telling us now that we're all going to die because of global warming were telling us that we were all going to die from a looming ice age that was going to wipe out all life as we know it.

I remember like it was yesterday, sitting in Mr. McPhee's fifth grade class (around 1977 or 1978) listening to him talk about how, in our lifetime, New Jersey was going to be like Greenland, even in the summertime.

Of course, this was the same guy who later became my ninth grade science teacher and constantly told us how President Reagan was going to annihilate the world.

Ted Danson said we're going to run out of fish in the '90s.
And back just as trains were becoming popular, and getting faster, some brilliant wag opined that they would kill off many people because it was common knowledge that a human could not survive above 60 MPH as they would be unable to breathe.

Chicken Little is alive and well, just in different disguises.:BangHead::BangHead:

Liberalism has always sought to destroy scripture, I believe. Evolution is a liberal idea, yet scripture is clear on how the world was formed. Liberalism teaches all eligions are equal, even knowing the awful consequences taught in scripture. Liberals tell us women pastors are ok, when scripture is so clear on who's to be in the pulpit.

Global climate change is just another liberal lie, meant to decieve people into thinking...

We cannot trust God will provide all our needs.....
The command to multiply is null & void.....
Man can save themselves.....
The command to be seperate from the world no longer applies.....
We need to listen to the earth more than scripture.....

When I see a liberal stand up for an idea, I can pretty much guarantee it will not line up with scripture.

Ahhhhhh memories.....Whatever happened to The Impending Next Great Ice Age™? I wasn't paying much attention in high school in 1984, but I do remember it was well on the way then. I guess there are just too many of us oldies around for them to stick with calling it "Global Warming" without getting laughed at...Now though some bright spark changed the buzz-word to "Climate Change", so if tomorrow is different in any way to yesterday "it's all your fault and you should do something because Gaia isn't much of a god and she needs our help...." :praying:

 A new logical fallacy...Appeal to Ted Danson.

Never knew he ws a climate expert. That's like citing RM as one . . . or even me. . . means nothing.

A believer can live in contrast to these worldly lies and yet still subscribe to the arguments made for global warming.

Yup. A believer can walk into a bar & start cursing, too. Or he can walk in the light of his saviour. Too many warnings in the bible to worship the creator, to not work with iniquity, to trust in God alone for our daily needs.

How does believing in a scientific study equate to the examples you mention here?
Please explain how trusting the research of scientists who lean toward a global warming scenario equate to iniquity?

I just go on science's record. Evolution being the first stop. Ever notice those who tell me we have to save this planet are the same ones telling me I used to be a monkey.

And please, if you start condescending to me, and asking me to prove scince is at odds with scripture, this conversation will end.

I believe global warming is a great way for satan to get christians to take their eyes off the cross.

Is this the same coach McPhee from Kansas City? From what I recall of my science class with him, he skipped the section on evolution because he did not want to deal with the impending controversy from the handful of Christians in the class.
