I have noticed that the subject of Global Warming seems to divide across political lines (Republican vs Democrat) in the U.S. and even find it in Christian circles "conservative vs Liberal".
I can "kinda" see how a Republican platform wanting smaller government and less intrusion would think of policies restricting freedom or liberties (like limiting smoking) are considered in the same light as these policies that arise from concerns over global warming - and so this might lead republicans to an anti-global warming POV.
By why in the world would Christians divide on this "conservative vs Liberal"?
Or is it possible that there really is no division at all along "conservative/liberal" lines - just individual opinion that varies within the conservative groups as much as between conservatives and liberals?
(no horse to ride here)
