Global Warming Debunked yet again

Yeah, the young people today don't know that these same scientists who say global warming today were predicting a new ice age back in the 70's.

Interesting article Bill. Thanks for posting. I know about this, but this was a good summation.

Some of you may know that I'm going back to school to pick up a couple of credits toward a Public Administration degree I left unfinished years ago.
At 44, I'm by far the oldest person in my classes and, in some cases, even older than some of my professors.
In one class, we got off topic and started talking about this very thing. I explained to them how I remember my fifth grade teacher, back around 1975, telling us that there was a coming ice age and, while it probably wouldn't kill humanity off in our lifetimes, we would see it get progressively worse throughout our lifetimes, making some northern places uninhabitable and greatly reducing climate zones in which food could grow.
We would no longer be able to spend our summers at the Jersey Shore and I distinctly remember him describing invading glaciers along the Jersey Shore.

Gotta agree with you TT - the irony is pathetic.
I can visualize God looking down on ole Al and saying, in effect, "You think you so smart Bub, you think you're gonna get MAN to change the weather?? Well, just for the record, I'm gonna show you WHO'S REALLY in charge; and if you got any smarts at all, you'll pay attention!"
It's amazing how we find "smoking gun" emails that admit outright fraud, yet globalwarmingbots still stick to the thoroughly discredited party line...
I find that very sad.
Not to mention the ridiculous defense that, "Remember, gang...if it gets colder, that's because of global warming!" And yet...some people are gullible enough to buy it.

All I know is this global warming is killing me. First you have to shovel it, next, scrape it off the car, then risk your life driving in it and cancel schools because of it. Then the kids and dog track it in the house and you have to clean the carpet.

What, exactly does this mean? There shall be a cold season, a hot season, and two transition seasons. It would be a true miracle if the weather went from summer to winter without any transition time.
How does this comfort you? Do you read something between the lines? For example, what about rain at the proper time and dryness during harvest? What good is the proper temperature with the other requirements for a good harvest? Why do we mass starvation due to drought and flood?

There's no argument that climate change exists, and there's no argument that human existence contributes to it. What is debated is to what extent we effect climate conditions. I'm all for calling people to be good stweards of the earth, but it's clear that many of the claims made by manmade global warming proponents is based on either an exaggeration of the objective evidence, or not based on objective evidence at all. There simply isn't enough data to support the claims that are often made by manmade global warming proponents.
