If you are refuting a claim that NOBODY is making, then you are attacking a “Strawman”. She was asking if you are beating on a strawman of your own creation, or are you refuting a real claim made by an actual person.

The “WORD OF GOD” (in the Genesis 1 and John 1 sense) is Jesus Christ. His “authority” is both innate and comes from the Father. His power over His creation is manifest in his speaking reality into being.

Heb. 4 Speaks plainly about the Word of God.

"Quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit ... a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

2 Tim. 3 Speaks plainly about inspired Scripture.

"Is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness."

Identical and equal? Does profitability equal quickness/ power/sharpness/piercing(ness)/division/discernment?
