Paul tought a timely salvation in his discourse in Rom chapter 10, by warning those that were children of God and were going about establishing their own righteousness instead of submitting themselves to the righteousness of God. Telling them that if they would confess of that sin they could be delivered (saved) from that sin. That would be a timely salvation. The apostles were delivered many times by timely salvations. God did not take the thron out of Paul because he said that Paul would be humbled by it and he would praise and honour God more in that position. We all turn to God more when God humbles us.

What verses? The whole chapter?

Really? The ONLY way to have a relationship with God is to be bound to Him and in Him. If you lose your relationship, you have lost your salvation. You are no longer connected to God. He either keeps you in relationship with Him or He doesn't. You can't have it both ways.
I don't believe that there is anyone but Christ that walks perfectly before God. If you are telling me that you never turn away from God by yielding to your own fleshly lusts, then I am sorry, but I would not believe you. When we lust after the things of this world, we are not in fellowship with God. Doesen't mean we lose our eternal salvation, just means that we are disobident children of God, thats why God chastens those that he loves. If we never are disobedient their would be no reason for God's chastening us. James 1:14, But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and inticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bring forth sin; and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death,(death is a seperation) and sin seperates us from our fellowship with God, not our eternal salvation, but makes us disobedient children of God.

Show me with bible, where one of His children lose fellowship w/Him when they sin. When I did wrong, dad whipped me, but I was still his son just the same. A child of God, never, ever, loses fellowship with God for one nanosecond.

And you would be right not to believe me. After salvation we do not become sinless, but we will sin less.

James 1:14-15, But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath concieved, it bringeth forth sin; and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death (death being a seperation) seperating himself from a fellowship with God. When a born again person turns away from God and lusts after the things of this world he is seperated from a fellowship with God but he does not lose his eternal salvation. He is just a disobedient child of God. When he repents God will take him back in fellowship with him.

We aren't talking about man's ability or willingness to seek God. We are talking about his ability to willingly respond to a God actively seeking him.
The natural man will not respond to a spiritual God because he cannot descern spiritual things, they are foolishness to him, 1 Cor 2:14.

Does God want you to sin? No.

Do you still sin? Yes.

Does that mean God doesn't have power to carry out his will?
God left man to choose as he pleases, but the natural man will not choose to serve a spiritual God. God gives us choices. Joshua said "choose whom ye shall serve, but as for me and my household, we will serve God.

So during this time that one is following the flesh and before he repents of it, has he lost his "timely" salvation? What if he dies in this state?
If he does not repent of it he does not receive the timely salvation, and , no, he will not lose his eternal salvation.

If you want to study to show yourself approved and rightly divide the word, you will have to understand that the scriptures talk about different kinds of worlds. God would not tell us that he loves the world and then tell us not to love the world, John 3:16 and 1 John2:15. The same goes for the words, saved, save, and salvation. Most of the scriptures using these words are refering to timely salvations, or deliverances.

We are not to love the wicked evil world like the world, we also told to love our enemies the world, you are right they don't contradict. We are not to love the world as the world does, but love them as God does by telling the message that God loved this wicked world that He sent His Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Some do see this as foolishness and can't understand how God loved the world that He sent His Son.

We are to believe God and not lean on our own understanding and love our enemies as God does by giving them His Son. I am not to understand I am to believe and it is Him who opens our eyes.

Ezekiel 3:
18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for[Or in; also in verses 19 and 20] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.

20 “Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 21 But if you do warn the righteous person not to sin and they do not sin, they will surely live because they took warning, and you will have saved yourself.”

Ezekiel 18:
21 “But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. 22 None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. 23 Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

24 “But if a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked person does, will they live? None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die.

25 “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear, you Israelites: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust? 26 If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin, they will die for it; because of the sin they have committed they will die. 27 But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life. 28 Because they consider all the offenses they have committed and turn away from them, that person will surely live; they will not die. 29 Yet the Israelites say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Are my ways unjust, people of Israel? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

30 “Therefore, you Israelites, I will judge each of you according to your own ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. 31 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel? 32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!

James 5:
17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

James 3:
1 Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2 We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

John 15:
The World Hates the Disciples
18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’[John 13:16] If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. 21 They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Whoever hates me hates my Father as well. 24 If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. 25 But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated me without reason.’[Psalms 35:19; 69:4]

Luke 6:
Love for Enemies
27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Matthew 5:
Love for Enemies
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[Lev. 19:18] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Open question to moderators / administrators...I'm curious why PB doctrine is allowed on the BB when all of the ME'ers were banned? Same 2 salvation soteriology...just from a different angle. Why is millenial exclusionism deemed a "damnable heresy" by the BB but the soteriology of the primitive baptist is not?

Did you get your answer? :tongue3:

The more I read the more I marvel at His grace and sovereignty. Oh, how He saves who He chooses and how He is faithful to cause is to walk in obedience. Praise Him for loving us as He found us and loving us enough to not leave us that way.

Eze 11:17 "Therefore say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries among which you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel."'
Eze 11:18 "When they come there, they will remove all its detestable things and all its abominations from it.
Eze 11:19 "And I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them. And I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,
Eze 11:20 that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and do them. Then they will be My people, and I shall be their God.
Eze 11:21 "But as for those whose hearts go after their detestable things and abominations, I will bring their conduct down on their heads," declares the Lord GOD.

Eze 36:23 "I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD," declares the Lord GOD, "when I prove Myself holy among you in their sight.
Eze 36:24 "For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land.
Eze 36:25 "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.
Eze 36:26 "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.
Eze 36:28 "You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God.
Eze 36:29 "Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I will not bring a famine on you.

Php 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

1Pe 5:10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

You make a mountain out of a mole hill.

But at least you're being forthright and open about it.

I do respect that.
