Ok, let's break this down, shall we.
- "I wonder how many people these deadbeats have lead to the Lord."
Who are "these deadbeats"? It always helps to start a conversation knowing who one is talking about. On the other hand, are we just engaging in gossip about "these deadbeats" or is this a matter we should be talking about with them?
- "When we went out soulwiining we felt that if we didn't lead a dozen to Christ we failed the mark."
Who is "we"?
Does this mean "we" DON'T go out "soulwinning" any more?
Does that now make you a "deadbeat" as well?
Is "failed the mark" like "missing the mark" and a reference to the literal translation of the word for "sin"?
Are you claiming that leading fewer than 12 people to Christ is a sin?
I was always taught that it is the Holy Spirit that ultimately saves people and we only plant a seed or water a seed. Is this not your understanding?
- "Most of these deadbeats don't go soulwinning they spend their days making stupid remarks about those who have done something for God."
Which bothers you more, the lack of "soulwinning" or the "stupid remarks"?
Could you be more specific? Perhaps an example?
How do you obtain information on how other people spend their days?
- "Go win someone to Christ and you will enjoy it so much you will push yourself for another one and so on. Give God the glory and watch the results instead of what you are doing now."
Have you really come on a site where Christians discuss Christian topics to tell everyone to stop posting on Christian sites because it makes us all "deadbeats"?
Haven't you, in fact, wasted your time telling us to stop wasting our time?
Has your effort here either led anyone to Christ or edified anyone already in Christ?
Are you the anti-Barnabus ... come to exercise your Spiritual Gift of DISCOURAGEMENT?
I look forward to hearing your reply in the hopes that Iron can sharpen Iron.
God Bless,
