Wrong. God gives a NEW heart. You are REBORN. He does not "mend" because there is nothing good about us. Read your bible.

God CREATES a NEW heart. There is no mending.

If I am wrong, please support your contention with scripture.

Ha !!!

You said God is a glue that mends people. You did not ever say the word "new" until I did.

Got any scripture, or do you not need it ? Does God mend us, or create a new person in Jesus Christ ? Are we reborn, or educated ? Reborn, or fixed ?

Can we get to Heaven without the shed blood of Christ ?

Jeremiah 18:2 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. (KJV)

IICorinthians 5:17

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Thanx for the response, P.B., but God is talking to Israel, whom he wants to repent, there, not the individual believer. He is telling Israel to turn to him, promising them he is the only God for them..

What ?

Please try and be rational, and more careful with spelling. I cannot tell what you are saying. Does he mend us, or glue together a new us ?

Show some scripture, or I'm going to assume you cannot, and move on.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (KJV)

This doesn't contradict the verse from Corinthians, Jesus is quoting the book of Isaiah.

We are new creatures in Christ. The old is done away.

Once God perfectly glues our broken lives it is not broken. It is entirely new. Only God and his glue can do that for us.

So what you are saying is that God's magical glue, once used, disappears and it is as if there was never glue used in the first place? Wouldn't be more efficient for God to just make it new without the middle step of glue?
