Romans 8:9, But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.2 Corinthians 13:14
14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
Luke 2:11, For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.Luke 1:35
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
Why do you contradict yourself?God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, without qualification is unBiblical Tritheism.
I didn't contradict myself. I am a Trinitarian. I am an anti-tritheist.Why do you contradict yourself?
False. I believe in the simplicity of the one LORD God. And the three distinct Persons who are that one God. God the Father, the Son of God and the Holy Spirit.God is a complex triune entity composed of 3 distinct people: Father, Son / Logos, Holy Ghost.
As far as I know, all trinitarians are anti-tritheist. There is not 3 gods, but 3 people in one God.I didn't contradict myself. I am a Trinitarian. I am an anti-tritheist.
That way of speaking though hints at oneness/ModualismAs far as I know, all trinitarians are anti-tritheist. There is not 3 gods, but 3 people in one God.
You just bristle at the nomenclature “God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost”. You prefer “God is the Father, Son of God, and Holy
Ghost”. I see your point.
Oneness Modalism explicitly denies that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three distinct Persons being the same God.That way of speaking though hints at oneness/Modualism
False. There is no simplicity in one entity, known as God, being 3 different people.False. I believe in the simplicity of the one LORD God. And the three distinct Persons who are that one God. God the Father, the Son of God and the Holy Spirit.
First, God is not three people. The Trinity is three distinct Persons. Not people.False. There is no simplicity in one entity, known as God, being 3 different people.
The term “persons” has no theological advantage over “people”.@Ascetic X,
The distinction between people and persons is unique to English.
We don't think of God as one among other people. Now Jesus is being a man.
The term “persons” has no theological advantage over “people”.
In normal usage, we never say “there are four persons over there”, we always say “people”. The term “people” does not diminish the quality of the plurality, as in one among many.
Speaking of 3 people in one God is far less awkward than saying 3 persons.
"People" is the standard plural of "person" for general use, referring to a group of individuals. "Persons" is a formal, often legal term emphasizing generic status, frequently used in official notices, legal documents, or specifically numbered, small groups (e.g., "missing persons," "maximum 4 persons allowed at this table").
all 3 members are Persons.
Technically yes.
But no: We do not think of the three persons in the Trinity like three men.
Only the secoind Person in the Trinity being with the unitary God even relates to our common sense of being a person.
