The only book I can recommend is the bible.
There isn't a single problem in life that cannot be dealt with through the reading of the Psalms. There is so much comfort in them and so many promises.
Lessons in life.
Cheers,
Jim
Just yesterday I received my monthly "Free Grace Broadcaster" from Mt Zion Church in Pensacola, and the topic of the month was Christian suffering. AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE! Articles by Pink, Lloyd Jones, Spurgeon.Anyone got any book recommendations on this topic? I have a HUGE book library and perhaps a title is in my collection.
:thumbs::thumbs: Two of my personal favorites are Psalm 77 and Psalm 139
One book I gave to all converts under my ministry was: The Fight; the Christian Struggle, By the late Dr. John Smith, InterVarsity Press. It costs only 19.00 US. I think it retitled to just The Fight now.
Cheers,
Jim
By the way, I start every day, as part of my prayer, "This IS the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it." Hence, even a punctured tyre is worthy of praise. In other words, my troubles are insignifcant in the light of God's presence.
