Is it OK to say "Good Luck.....?"

The greetings of "good luck" may have derived from "good fortune" or "be well." As you may know, when an actor goes to the stage the first time he is greeted by his fellow actors with "break a leg." While there is no specific meaning or hidden agenda behind this popular greeting, we Christians refrain from using the word luck, because as Jon-Mark said...

How is this conclusion arrived at? We are all subject to random probabilities, some of which result in 'our favor' and some of which do not.

I agree with this statement, and that is why I do not use the expression "good luck".

I used to use it as a way of saying, "I hope you do well", knowing that there is no such thing as "good luck" in the most basic meaning, but decided, because of the most basic meaning, that I shouldn't use it.
