I am sorry that you have made the decision to leave the Board. You certainly kept me running to my Bible to affirm what I believe.

I'll play the role of the Titus 2 woman in this post. When making changes in your life, be sure that you are not going from one extreme to another. I believe that one can really enjoy living in this beautiful world that God made.

I also believe that it isn't necessary to show the world that one is submitting to one's husband.

I hope you stop in from time to time.

Some churches, including some baptist churces, are not doing well and we do compromise way too often and model ourselves in comformity to the world.

I sure will miss you. So many times I have seen and heard of people leaving the Baptist faith because of the hypocrisy and double standards/or lack thereof. I am sure that wherever you are the Lord will use you to teach the younger women as commanded in Titus 2. God be with you!

 

I am sad to see you go, mainly because if you seriously believe these things are a problem, you should spend your time teaching others the right way.

 

I am sorry to see HCL leave our group and her church but I will respect her desire to do so. I will now close this thread as I feel enough has been said. I will be happy to post any further farewell's if anyone would like to PM them to me.
