GOP ObamaCare Replacement Bill Appears to be Dead

There are at least three GOP senators that have publicly said they will oppose McConnell's bill to tweak ObamaCare. McConnell is not going to put it up for a vote as he had planned this week.

What was Trump doing this last weekend as the vote on the bill was drawing near? He was at the USGA Women's Open being held at one of his golf courses and tweeting about his son's entanglement with Russia.

Which would not be happening had not the fake commie news organizations blown it completely out of proportion to what had actually happened in spite of progressive leftist "Russian collusion" THEMSELVES

Last January, Politico reported that the Democratic National Committee, acting on behalf of Hillary, actually contacted officials in the corrupt government of the Ukraine seeking opposition research against Trump. "Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office," Politico said. "They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton's allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisors."

Democrats' Real, Pervasive Collusion With Russia Somehow Lost In Media's Hysterical Anti-Trump Campaign

This is only ONE instance. If folks want I can bring forth many others e.g. Clinton Uranium scandal, etc, etc ...

The pinko leftists are attempting to disrupt and clog up the presidents agenda by putting forth this propaganda flowing out of the traitorous Fake News media.

President Trump is doing the right thing issuing his own point of view, exercising his first amendment rights by constant TWEETING (to the left's chagrin). Yes it takes up much of the time but at least we the people are in a one-to-one communication relationship with our president.

How in the world does the failure of the GOP to repeal and replace ObamaCare generate a rant about Clinton and the fake news media?

I will cede to the point about the GOP.
There are so many RINO, NeoCon and Turncoat "Republicans" that's why.

However the rant is also true :D

:Laugh Right. And that's all he could manage to do in 48 hours.

Ridiculous. Got any idea what he was doing or who he talked to the other 47 hours?

You need professional help.

I've always been on record as being in favor of just letting Obamacare die a natural death. Repeal will never happen without controlling 60 votes in the Senate. So let it die and let voters punish the democrats who engineered that disaster in the first place. Then it can be repealed. Even stupid crooked democrats will be on board....maybe[emoji57]

It's a nice thought, but will never happen. If O'care hurts people on Republican's watch, Republicans will be blamed for not fixing it. It's just the way it is.

And frankly they can fix it. They just need to work incrementally, fixing little things at a time.

I am personally for outright repeal, however if it was gutted so that in practice it was dead, that would be fine also.
I also know that some big moves like this are better done incrementally, but how do you cut the head off a snake "INCREMENTALLY"?

I think the best option would be to pass the Senate bill as is, with perhaps some small changes. But guys like Rand Paul are going to grandstand if it's not perfect, so it might be best to repeal and replace later. At least then, we'll see where certain Senators are at. We may have to wait until after the 2018 elections.

I totally agree that SOMETHING should be done NOW; if for no other reason but to see how every senator actually votes - before the '18 elections.

Hey, Mitch, you really want a poison pill? Scrap all those for-life Cadillac plans for Congress and their staff and put them all under Obamacare in your bill, see how fast they run.

Do something. Take one of your old repeal bills under Obama and submit it - forget Trump, the GOP promised and the strategy of letting Obamacare die out is awful. If that happens, it's likely to have a Democrat House with a GOP Senate in two years to deal with then.

The conservative House Freedom Caucus has a plan to force a repeal-only vote on the Affordable Care Act to the House floor by September — a move that would likely leave a lot of their Republican colleagues in the lurch, per Politico.

Their plan: The Freedom Caucus wants to circulate a "discharge petition," allowing them to circumvent party leadership to force a vote. The petition would require the signatures of half of the members of the House to succeed.

I usually agree with the Freedom Caucus, but this is merely a waste of time.

It looks like the party of "NO" is going to mess this up beyond belief.

They are going to lose the senate, possibly the congress and for sure the presidency if they fail to keep their word to repeal-replace Ocare.

Here we go again comrades.
