I mean it’s pretty obvious to anyone reading the article that it is deliberately trying to make a normal and necessary protection for whistle blowers seem like some sort of nefarious plot.

Are the Democrats trying to start a hot civil war with this garbage? All Presidents of the United States have constitutional powers to communicate with foreign leaders. That includes asking foreign leaders if someone like Biden violated the Hobbs Act by trying to extort money from a foreign government.

Schiff is conducting his committee like the Salem Witch trials.

This is completely different than a court of law.

A court may have a “secrete witness” but that witness will be exposed to the defendant in the closed court sessions should it be necessary. Such results in “witness protection” in some instances.

In a hearing there is no dishonor or constitution defilement.

The whistle blower policies and laws have been absolutely a great service. People in power don’t particularly like to be exposed, and tremendous harm has been covered up in the past.

John Dean is an example of a whistleblower who was unshielded.

However, A “fixer” who, from early in his career, was self serving and self preserving, continues to this day trying to bolster his own credibility that has repeatedly been troubled as disclosed from his early career. But, because he was both a whistleblower and duplicitous he had/has little audience for his views.

Comrade Schiff is using the excuse that these hearings need to be done in secret because there is some sort of confidential or classified information that is being disseminated and that is just not true. They need to open the doors and let the American people see for themselves what is happening.

At the core of the power that we give to our elected officials is that they operate a free and open government. Sadly, Comrade Schiff and the rest of the Democrats are doing the exact opposite.

He was attempting to keep them from exposing the identity of the whistleblower, if the witness actually knew who that person was.

Categorically untrue. The witness stated from the outset that he "did not know who the whistleblower is," therefore he could not reveal someone as the whistleblower.

It's a Democrat kangaroo court where the chairman also is the lawyer for the witness. It is like the Spanish Inquisition where the RCC executed heretics or like one of Stalin's show trials where Uncle Joe sent millions to their deaths for no reason.

This is in sum and character what the president was trying to communicate with the president of Ukraine. It would be funny if it wasn’t such a graphic betrayal of the president’s oath of office. But as it does represent a real betrayal, there’s nothing the president says here that is in America’s interest after all.

"It's not an official transcript of the phone call and it's too short - the REAL phone call took much longer!", they bleat - yeah, it was translated to and from English. And of course he doesn't want to be challenged so he resorts to witness tampering again. He is a disgrace.

This is the smokescreen of the Democrats. It had nothing to do with protecting a whistle-blower. It has to do with them not wanting the full story out.

I don’t disagree.

The problem with any leak is both who is leaking and what is leaked.

Much of the agenda for leaking is selfish ambition or authority by attention getting.

Rarely, in D.C., is the leak done for love of unity and truth.

my opinion is that the remarkable difference between the Watergate and this is in that one area. “Deep throat” was not political agenda driven.


However, who on the hearing panel can make such a claim?

Few remember Hillary C was fired by the democratic senator she worked for because of her agenda driven motivations.

If Hillary has Parkinson's Disease, as some think, then it is good that she was not elected. Biden should not be elected either, not only for putting his hands all over little girls and women but also for cashing in on his position to enrich his son Hunter and other family members. Biden went on television at the Council of Foreign Relations and bragged that he had threatened the Ukraine to fire their prosecutor or Obama would cancel their aid. So that leaves the Dems with Bernie, who has Israeli stents but does not believe in buying Israeli things, and Elizabeth Warren, who has all the charm of Hillary and the cleverness of a trial lawyer but who is totally socialistic. The Dems should go with someone like West Virginia Sen. Manchin.

Probably, but Warren really hates Jews and says that she is going to insist on a two-state solution and that everything is on the table, implying that she would declare war on Israel and impose her solution on them. Bernie has to have those stents removed to keep his promise of BDS and Biden can't even get an endorsement from Obama, who did endorse singer-dancer Bollywood extra Justin Trudeau.
