GOP to Charge Bush with Socialism

This is not so much about attacking him as it is about calling the GOP back to its conservative free market roots. This is sending a message to the RINOs (Republican In Name Only) in Congress that we will no longer put up with their nonsense.

I think this is what is happening, but I do not believe these men, that are in charge of the GOP have the resolve, nor the clout to accomplish this enormous task... They need a couple of elder statesmen, perhaps in the Newt Gingrich vein.

If the GOP doesn't convince me that they want to return to their traditional values, embracing conservatism, and showing acceptance of Christianity, I will find another party to support, and I've been a staunch Rep. for over 40 years....

Would this be a good place to point out that any President, from the most conservative to the most liberal, whoever either of those may be or have been, cannot spend one dime, unless Congress OKs it?

He or she can promise whatever they wish, but its 'awful hard' to write a check when you are not even allowed to even so much as touch the checkbook.

Bush supposedly being "the worst President in history" [Or for some others who might like to make a similar claim most notably about President(s) William J. Clinton (or while maybe less so), also George H. W. Bush, Ronald W. Reagan, or Jimmy Carter, or any other recent President(s), for that matter] :

The failure to read and understand history has seldom been more evident than in statements such as what I have referred to, IMO. (We actually had to know a little bit of U.S. History, in order to graduate High School, when I went there! What happened in the meantime??)

There have been 11 U.S. Presidents, thus far in my 60 years upon this earth. Has each and/or every one of these Presidents made some bad decisions, gotten bad advice, and/or exercised bad judgment, at some point or points?

You betcha', and some have done this (or will likely yet do this) much more than others, I would add.

Did any and/or all also make some good decisions?

Again yes, and some obviously have made (or will likely yet make) far fewer of these than others, as well. And I'll even add that President George W. Bush may possibly turn out to be the worst President in my lifetime. Or one may still be able to say the same about President William J. Clinton, even. (Ask me about this in about 20 years, and I should be able to give you a decent evaluation, then. I'm pretty sure history will show that neither of these is, or was, in any danger, whatsoever, of knocking Presidents Harry S Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, or Gerald R. Ford off "the top of the heap" for the "Best President" of my lifetime, anytime soon!)

But it is also still true that not one of these 11, at their overall worst, is even anywhere close to being "UNworthy enough" to even begin to "scuff the shoes" of Presidents Warren G. Harding and/or Ulysses S. Grant and/or Millard Fillmore for the dubious crown of "Worst US President in history"!

One thing Bush and Hoover have in common, a Democrat President was elected after them because neither did their job.

George Bush painted a picture of himself as a Christian conservative to the American people, one of the biggest smoke and mirrors job in history.

One bad thing about being an inexperience liberal, when you mix ineptness with liberalism, the effects are much worse.

You aren't going to be able to get elected as a conservative Republican in a moderate to liberal state. It's just not going to happen. While I hear people all the time exaggerating by saying that a "true" conservative would win in a landslide, it's simply not the case. California will either go Democrat or liberal Republican. The days of Reagan are over.

The GOP can't win enough seats in the northeast with social conservatives. Look at Maine--two GOP senators, both moderate to liberal.

Actually, you can find large numbers of both liberals and conservatives in CA. SF of course is the liberal stronghold. San Diego is just as rapidly conservative. After all, CA did elect Reagan as governor.

The fact are He raised the national debt from $700 billion to $3 trillion and unemployment reached 10.8% percent in December 1982 which is the highest since the great depression... Again, Hoovers party...

He was only popular amongst the GOP and they don't want to admit to the facts of his presidency...
