Hopefully when you present your understanding of what a verse or passage says, others will post explicit alternate viewpoints.

Anyone can post "taint so" but it takes prayer and study to post a detailed alternate view.

Here is an alternate view of John 3:16:

God loved humanity in this way, God gave His uniquely divine Son so that everyone believing into Him will not perish but have everlasting life.

Hey there,

New member here. I’m a teacher at our church (independent bible church). Figured it would be good to have a forum to bounce ideas around, and habe more iron around to sharpen my iron around doctrine, teaching, and scripture.

Thanks for having me!
Welcome.

Thanks! With the general message of John 17:20-26 and esp 21, 22, and 26 I could see what you are saying but would need to look more into it. John has a lot of stuff lime what you point out!

John does have a lot of stuff in line with what I said. Looking forward to you starting a new thread discussing your explicit view of a verse or passage.

I certainly will! I have just taught through Philemon and Colossians and am starting Ephesians in about 6 weeks… so many things on the corporate body of Christ, being in Christ, and the love of God that are brewing in my mind at the moment :D
