I think he gave up once the JesusFan deluge began.
It shouldn't be important, provided that the meaning is right. After all, there are many reasons why grammar or spelling might be (or seem) bad to a reader. Here are a few:
I like to fault the computer, keyboard and my fingers for my poor English and grammar.
Verbosity and repetition aggravates me most.
