Where?Yet, there is no teaching that says any other religion other than Judaism can exist in unbelief and still be heirs of God's promises.
IF we are going to include "hyperfundamentalism" as a potential great enemy of truth, should we not also include liberalism, which is antithesis of hyperfundamentalism. Either extreme is a "clear and present danger" to truth. MH, you mentioned in jest the SBC, but the reality is that some within the SBC along with the ABC, and other liberal Baptist entities have been organs of liberalism and are even now spewing out their false message in the name of truth.Originally posted by MatthewHenry:
I voted for hyperfundamentalism, people like "Dr." Phil Kidd (and I use the term doctor very loosely...), and many of his followers. they scare me, I was saved in a IFB Church, and that wasn't the Fundamentalism I remember as a Child. at least it wasn't in the Church I was saved in.
Peter Ruckman is another danger, teaches very false doctrine, as was Jack Hyles with his easy believe'ism...
I could go on...
hey! At least I didn't say the SBC!![]()

Ah yes, sometimes known as the Centric Two-Step.and recently Hillary Clinton who is doing the Clinton Shuffle to the middle getting ready for campaign mode in 08.
What is this alliance between former President Bush and former President Clinton?I have noticed the same trend in politics
Good point. A better question might be: What is Satan's most effective weapon against the church at the present time?Originally posted by J. Jump:
The greatest enemy of "THE Faith" is satan.
Ephesians 6:12 - For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Granted "the enemy" uses some of the various things that have been mentioned here, but satan is behind all of them. He is our enemy.

We believe in the autonimy of the local church so there is variation from church to church. My church certainly wouldn't support ordaining a homosexual and neither would the vast majority of ABC churches. We didn't support slavery until the early 1990's either.Originally posted by Circuitrider:
