I'm sorry, am I mistaken? or are you offering that "Grace" is one of the greatest threats to the future of fundamentalism?

Would you please explain what you mean...often times one word answers can be meant in a multitude of ways.

It seems to me that the lack of grace would be a bigger detriment.

*I agree with Wisdom Seeker as well, I have found that this lures potential believers away with services that seem to be designed to be no different from what they can get in any non-Christian setting.

In no particular order, the greatest threat's to the Church in general:

1. Ignorance

2. Extra-Biblical Traditions being clung to as if they're straight from God's mouth

3. Legalism

All very closely related.

 

Another related to these is absolutism.
Absolutism is the tendancy for the 150-watt bulb
to call the 100-watt bulb a source of DARK.
We know the dark spots on the Sun look dark
because of the brightness of the parts of
the sun that surround it.

Absolutism is the approach to every problem
with a total black-or-white mentality.
