Town Hall put this together, complete with links. And they add this...

Why, it's almost as if the only reason someone would form a "green energy" company is to try to cash in on government subsidies being blindly dished out by the U.S. Department of Energy, rather than try to establish a sustainable business!

I'm thinking of manufacturing solar ovens think I could cash in on some these government subsidies? I could incorporate then lobby congress to make cooking with gas and electric illegal!

Yeah that's the ticket!

My guess is the green list failure will be growing longer before Obama is out of White House. His administration seems to a knack for picking losers. And he seems to want to continue trying to be the green President.

I'm not against doing green ideas. And would be thrilled if we could become energy independent on algae oil, or battery powered cars at an affordable price. But with the waste and crony capitalism that has been seen over the past couple years with these ideas from the White House, it would be better if government got out of the business of choosing winners and loser. It's time to get back to more traditional ideas that have worked in the past in filling energy needs and creating jobs.

With gasoline possibly heading toward the $5 mark this summer, thought this article correct.

When Japan attacked Pearl US auto production was shut down and very few months later the factories were turning out jeeps and tanks. If Congress had the guts to declare a general state of war and shout down auto production in two years we could manufacture enough wind turbines and solar thermal plants to put OPEC out of business.

But it is more fun to have ignorant volunteers kill Islamic people in Africa and 90% of the voters have not been inconvenienced by the last 10 years of the wars. I don't personally know anyone who is in the war zone.

Or we'd bankrupt ourselves trying.

Green energy, seems to be like Peter Pan. Doesn't exist. If there were any potential at all, private investors would be supplying all the cash the movement needed.

bill,

Is there proof that solar and wind energy is going to work?
