Were they killed by legal, resonsible gun owners or were they killed by criminals who got their guns illegally?Originally posted by g'day mate:

It tells me that (a) your information is incomplete and (b) you haven't thought this through very well.according to my radio station. What does that tell you?
To simply say "more guns" is a bit misleading.and people still think if you had more guns you would have less deaths.
sorry does not make sence.
Amen.Army And police different, thank good we have them.
I was just pointing out the fact that they have Bibles and not guns, so it is not nessecary to have the gun to keep your Bible. Although I completely agree with your last statement and I would prefer to keep mine also. I get tired of hearing all the anti-gun speaches myself.Someone mentioned that in China they have bibles. Yes, but they also have an opressive government that considers Christians to be criminals. An offence punishable by death. I do know this because a good friend of my wife spent 3 years there as a "English teacher". I for one would rather keep my Bible and gun.
Nope, sorry, not becasue of guns, but because of bad hearts in need of Jesus. Many people own guns and never kill anyone, so it's not the guns, but the people who own them that are killing. We own two guns and neither of us have ever killed anyone.30,000 people were killed last year in the USA because of guns.according to my radio station.

g'day mate, the Aussie media is famous for being anti-gun. They never let any facts get in the way with what they want to tell us.Originally posted by g'day mate:

No, they were not killed because of guns...they were killed because the people were criminals or the people who owned the guns were negligent in handling the guns. Should we ban automobiles because 28,000 people die as the result of drunk drivers every year? or because some teenager takes his mom's car for a spin and wrecks and kills himself and others?30,000 people were killed last year in the USA because of guns.
Here in Canada, we have religious freedom and Bibles-a-plenty. We don't have an armed populace, nor the freedom to bare arms written into a national constitution. So, yes it is possible.Originally posted by Smoke_Eater:
Naturally the vast majority of us here would vote for the Bible, but the men who wrote the Constitution believed that there was no guarantee of religious freedom without an armed populace.
So, the big question is, would it be possible to choose the Bible in the first place without guns?
