Halloween

    John,

    Thanks so much for the kind words! You know that sharing so much info was HARD for me, but in the end it didn't really hurt so bad. *hehe* Every Sunday when I am at church I am always wishing my husband is with me. My friends too, I would love to be sitting with them all!

    Back to the subject at hand. It was actually because of my experience of how being surrounded by so many unlost can actually be harmful that made me what to stand up for those who do not participate in Halloween. Even if thier faith is strong enough to withstand it, that doesn't mean they have to try to use this night to witness.

    Those who are out to be "witnesses" really do need to be grounded in the Word. I meant what I said. I wasn't trying to be "mean", I know from experience that it is true.

    I remember dressing up and everything when I was younger, but know I feel bad if I dress up. I feel as if I am doing something wrong so I no longer dress up.

    Dressing up, if done to edify God, would be perfectly all right. Just don't dress up like a female angel. There are none in the Bible! There is a thread somewhere on angels that goes into that if anyone is interested.

    Dawn, the Bible says that we must do what we do in faith that it is right to do so. You are doing the right thing by not dressing up if you do not feel peace in doing so.

    (Rom 14:23 KJV) . . . for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

    I would continue to pray about it, and ask God to settle the matter within your heart. When He does so, ask Him for the strength to follow His leading.
