Iran does not have nuclear abilities and is at least several years away from doing so.

"And how did we get from Hamas to American history of slavery, I humbly ask?"-------------------------------------------------------------

    Postmodern, multicultural brainwashing!

And then Galations decided to spout the old sterotype about the South.

That is a lesson that one has to learn about threads. Once someone brings in another subject the thread will often take a detour.

So lets forget about the distant past and deal with the issue in the ME.

[IMG] </font>[/QUOTE]I also agree with the Galatian here except for his very last sentence. God can bring good from evil. But, we certainly would have been better off without it.

Are you saying that Hillclimber is a victim of postmodern, multicultural brainwashing?

Your's is the accepted viewpoint of the nation. I simply disagree.

What it did was suppress business and prosperity, because the few who could enslave many people and steal their labor, had an advantage over ethical businessmen in obtaining resources and revenue.
How is that different from bill Gates being in a position to hire whom he pleases? You and I can't.

    Nothing good comes from evil.

I think you didn't mean to say it that way. Slaves were saved while in captivity.
Joseph was sold as a slave and God made good come from that.
My Lord was nailed to the cross, and the good that followed from that is incalculable.

I seem to be one that has diverted the subject, and I apologise for that. I personally don't have a problem with that as I think it natural and proper. But I do know it's not right and will try harder not to in the future.
