Thousands Of Swedes Are Inserting Microchips Under Their Skin ...

NBC News did a report on this tonight. Is there anyone on this discussion board who sees no problem with this? In case you do post a favorable opinion of this technology, it is not for the purpose of deriding and ridiculing you. I simply want to know why a Bible-believing Christian would feel ok with this.

Roy, I suppose it depends on your eschatological position. If you are a Dispensationalist then this should concern you. If you are a Covenant Theologian, not so much. Even though I am not a Dispensationalist, I have an aversion to this type of bio-tech because it threatens personal privacy.

Implanted chips are highly convenient and are not the mark of the beast.

Yes, there's a privacy concern. But, biometrics will do more damage to your privacy than an implanted chip, as well as eventually make implanted chips obsolete.

Now if they started implanting chips in the stock of guns to keep tabs on all of us, then I would start being worried.

I can agree. But certainly, if not, sets the stage for the mark of the beast to come. Now all that would be needed is to make it a requirement in order to buy anything. Yet, even then, might not yet be the mark.

I could never go for it myself. The warning about the buy/sell mark in either the hand or forehead seems too clear and stark. When the actual mark of the beast comes along most people will be desensitized to the eternal consequences of receiving the mark, because apparently, "Folks have been using hand implanted chips for years."

Well, if the current tech won't become the "mark", it certainly is the forerunner of what WILL become the mark.

I wonder if there is a chip in the gold crown on my lower right side molar. During my final dental exam prior to my military retirement, the dentist decided that one of my jaw teeth needed a gold crown. He did an excellent job because that was 23 years ago and the crown is still there and in good shape.

It just seemed odd that after so many years of patch-work dental treatment that I got something really decent on my retirement. Maybe the feds will use that chip to shut me down if I don't act right.

The mark is already here. Ask Jimmy, the fellow who goes through the airport without going through customs. Jimmy simply shows one of his eyes (forehead) or touches his fingers on a pad (right hand) and passes right on through. It's another indication that we are living in the last days. Amen?

Getting "chipped" is a scary thought. I look at that as a pre-cursor to the mark of the beast. The only difference in this instance, no one is swearing allegiance to the anti-christ.

I saw a similar video put out about three months ago talking about Sweden, with many people happy to get this "technological advance". I'd not only be concerned about anyone having access to my personal information, but what about the government tracking my movements? Right now it isn't in the hands of the Swedish government, but who's to say that they won't have complete & total access to that data all the time?

Get chipped and you'll never need to worry about losing, forgetting, or digging for your car or house keys (after you upgrade your locks). Get chipped and you'll never have to hassle with unlocking your cell phone. It'll be locked when it's not with you, and unlocked when it's with you, automatically. Get chipped, and your house can turn on the lights when you arrive, without you doing anything.

And, man, you should get one of those smart speakers. Yeah, it listens to you all the time, in your home, in your living room, in your bedroom. And, when you ask it a question or give it a command, it sends your voice to some giant company for translation and hopefully an answer. And, that big company keeps your voice recordings and translations forever (unless you go through certain steps and trust them).

And, video cameras with image recognition, great for security, also uploads your video and recognition data to some wonderful big company.

Well, it's at least a forerunner. The beast from the earth (the false prophet) will institute the mark, making it mandatory. And the mark will be a specific thing such as a microchip, that men will willingly take.

And I believe the rapture will come first, so opposition will be minimal. Right now, there'd be determined worldwide resistance to it, even in largely-unchurched lands such as Norway. There won't be enough trib saints to effectively resist the mark & mosta the world will take it. (and be condemned!)

Maybe, but Clear has already expanded their pass to Sporting Events. Tell us which fan would refuse to sign up for entrance to their favorite sport. The microchip is old technology, requires an object to be implanted and could stop working. Identifying us by our eyes (forehead) or fingerprints (hand) fits the description given. It should be easy for them to have everyone sign up, except fundamental Baptists of course, else they will be unable to buy or sell. The reason they will give is to eliminate Crime and they will assume that you are a criminal if you don't sign up. Amen?

Remember, the beast & his sidekick will be in power before the mark is instituted, & it'll be compulsory. The beast's cops will kill anyone of a certain age upward found without the "mark".

Yes, it's called passive entry. No implanted chip needed.

Yes, on Android it's called "on-body detection". No implanted chip needed.

Yes, it's called proximity entry. No implanted chip needed.
