Hmmm. Intriguing how much (snip) people cause that gets blamed on a year. Of course, they have help, but not from the impotence of time.

A Prayer for the New Year

Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those
Who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,
And the power, and the glory,
For ever and ever. Amen.

Philippians 3:13-14 HCSB)[Psalm 103:2]

Forgetting what is behind [but not forgetting all His benefits] and reaching forward to what is ahead,
I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.

What a year! I cannot believe all that got packed into a single year! I am not the person that I was a year ago. I lost so much, and I have not stopped grieving my losses, but I see the hand of God in my life and he has been so so SOOOO good to me.

My suffering is not over. Christmas had me down with migraines, then I injured my tailbone, and then I badly burned myself. But as I am stuck home eating my home storage, the virus has been ripping through my neighborhood and I have been spared. And I have had time to devote to my religious studies and devotions and I am growing rapidly.

I think all of 2020 might increase exponentially, at least for me. Exponentially increasing tears of grief and gratefulness.
